Annual Club Competition Report

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the parents, grandparents and friends who came along to support the  gymnasts, in our Annual Club Competition. I thought it was a wonderful day and was very impressed with the 110 gymnasts, who all performed beautifully.

The standard improves each year, well done to all the coaches.

Thank you also for your support buying our Christmas squares, the money always goes to buying equipment. 50p a square. Liz.

Well done to Vicky Cronin, Becky Harding and Lisa Allen who passed their Assistant Coach exam.

Thanks to Martina and Leah, for years of loyal service, both competing and coaching. They are off to University and but first are attending a Club Coach course, so we should see them during holidays, good luck.

Laura Madge, 17, won the bouquet and certificate for highest vault score, in the Senior Modified FIG section of the recent South West Inter counties, at Plymouth.

She competed for Devon in the Floor & Vault competition .

This is a very high achievement, as she trains and practices her vault, a Piked Tsukahara, on a 12 m vault run up, half the permitted length.

Trophies were awarded to members of the squads for their hard work and dedication, along with the annual trophies for highest scores at competitions.

New foam Vault , this was bought with the money raised by the hard work of Torquay's Lions Club at the Race night, last November. Thanks to all who helped.

Congratulations  All the girls passed their Club Grades and had a good start in this years Devon league, progressing well.

Well done to the boys who competed in the Devon league on 13th March. Many apparatus medals and good team placing's.
